Corn

Corn is a cereal grain first domesticated by indigenous peoples in southern Mexico about 10,000 years ago. Some types of corn are ground for flour or rough ground for cornmeal. Other types are grown as popcorn and sweet corn is roasted or boiled to be eaten on the cob or off the cob as ingredients or side dishes.
