Brightly-painted hues are reminiscent of the American Southwest and its beautiful sunsets. Heat and drought resistant, grown near Phoenix across the heat and cold of three seasons in the Sonoran desert and five seasons at 6700 feet in the Painted Desert.
Pungent, single and double blooms in intense, saturated colors that boldly remind of sunset in the Southwestern deserts.
Hardy in the heat, compact, a plethora of colors and heavy blossom production throughout the warm months. Pick the blooms often to maintain high levels of production. Feed with compost every two weeks for a profusion of flowers.
Short enough to make great borders, tall enough to fill the center of lower beds, blooms about an inch across in red, orange and yellow, in every shade, dark, light and bright. These colors will liven up any garden arrangement or shape with their brightly-painted brilliance.
